1861 Census: James, 63, was living with his wife and 2 children at Hill House, Langham. They had 3 servants with them.
1871 Census: James, 73, was living at Hill House, Langham with his wife and daughter. They had a visitor, Phoebe A. Whiley, 60, widow, staying with them together with a domestic servant and a farm labourer.

He obtained a marriage license on 3 Oct 1840. Hannah was from Langham. Both were single and above the age of 21 years. The marriage was to take place in Langham. He was married to Hannah Maria DUNNINGHAM (daughter of Stephen DUNNINGHAM) on 6 Oct 1840 in Langham, Essex. Both were of full age, living in Langham and signed the register. The witnesses were William Blyth and Mary Ann Dunningham. Hannah Maria DUNNINGHAM was born about 1816 in Ardleigh, Essex. She was baptized about Apr 1847 in Langham Baptist Church, Essex. Hannah was proposed and accepted as a candidate for baptism. She died on 8 Oct 1871. Hannah died aged 55. She was buried in Langham Baptist Church, Essex. 1841 Census: Hannah Maria, 25, was living with her husband in Langham.
Sep 1850: Hannah was dismissed from Langham Baptist Chapel to the Church in Bury.
1851 Census: Hannah, 36, was living with her husband and 2 daughters at Hill Farm, Langham.
1861 Census: Hannah, 46, was living with her husband and 2 daughters at Hill House, Langham.
1871 Census: Hannah, 55, was living with her husband and daughter at Hill House, Langham. James BLYTH and Hannah Maria DUNNINGHAM had the following children:

439 ii. Phoebe Ann BLYTH was born in 1847 in Langham, Essex. She was made Executor to the will of her sister, Elizabeth Blyth, on 5 May 1897 in London. She was an Annuitant as per 1881 Census. 1891 Census: Phoebe is shown as an Author. 1851 Census: Phoebe, 4, was living with her family at Hill Farm, Langham.
1861 Census: Phoebe, 14, was living with her parents at Hill House, Langham. She was a scholar.
1871 Census: Phoebe, 24, single was living with her parents at Hill House, Langham.
1881 Census: Living with her brother in law, Samuel Robert Blyth, at Wick Farm, Ardleigh, Essex.
1891 Census: Phoebe, 44 and single, was living with her brother in law at The Wick, Wick Lane, Ardleigh.
26th June 1893: Phoebe expressed a wish that she should be acknowledged as a member of Langham Baptist Church. This was accepted.
October 1894: Phoebe was admitted into Dedham Nonconformist Church having transferred from Langham Baptist Chapel. She was living at Ardleigh Wick. She stayed with this church until she died.
